Il Primavera Sound ha presentato il cartellone completo della sua prossima edizione attraverso una misteriosa applicazione per cellulari che si è rivelata essere un videogioco, tramite il quale sono state svelate tutte le band che suoneranno all’evento barcellonese di fine maggio. Nomi come The Black Keys, Interpol, The Replacements, Ride, Antony and the Johnsons, alt-J, Underworld, Damien Rice, Belle & Sebastian, The Strokes, Patti Smith, Richie Hawtin, Andrew Weatherall, Christina Rosenvinge, The Julie Ruin, Babes In Toyland, Foxygen, Cinerama, Giant Sand, Run The Jewels, Los Punsetes e Jon Hopkins, insieme a tanti altri, sono comparsi sugli schermi dei dispositivi mobili di tutti quelli che hanno scaricato l’app per poter scoprire l’esclusiva anteprima della lunga lista di artisti che si esibiranno al festival in occasione del suo quindicesimo anniversario. Tra i punti di forza del vasto cartellone ci saranno il duo americano The Black Keys, la presentazione del nuovo album degli Interpol, il ritorno di Antony and the Johnsons dopo il loro leggendario concerto all’Auditori del Fòrum nel 2005, il ritorno sulle scene della band americana The Replacements e l’esecuzione per intero dello storico album Horses da parte di Patti Smith, che concederà anche una seconda esibizione in formato acustico e una terza di “spoken word”. Ai precedentemente annunciati The Strokes e alla band di culto Ride si aggiungono altri grandi nomi per questa edizione come il pop con venature dance degli scozzesi Belle & Sebastian, il rock sperimentale dei tedeschi Einstürzende Neubauten, il potente complesso britannico degli alt-J, il raffinato suono elettronico di James Blake, il pop emozionale di Damien Rice e l’hip hop dei Run The Jewels, che hanno raggiunto il primo posto nelle classifiche mondiali, sono tra le partecipazioni di maggior richiamo di questa edizione del Primavera Sound 2015. Anche altri importanti nomi della musica contemporanea saranno al festival per presentare i loro album più recenti. È questo il caso dei The New Pornographers e dei Death from Above 1979, degli Spiritualized di Jason Pierce, del componente degli Animal Collective, Panda Bear e anche del carismatico e stravagante musicista californiano Ariel Pink, oltre ai newyorchesi Foxygen con un album che li ha messi sotto tutti i riflettori.
